Laser vision correction is not covered by OHIP, but private benefits, employer plans, Health Spending Accounts and available tax credits may help offset the cost.

We can provide a predetermination letter to send to your insurance provider, so you know what your plan will cover before you commit to anything.
We do not vary pricing based on your prescription. Each procedure is offered at a consistent base cost, with care tailored to your eyes.
For federal plan members
If you are a federal public servant, an RCMP or Canadian Forces member, a retiree, or a dependant covered under the PSHCP, elective laser eye surgery is an eligible expense under the plan's Vision Care benefit. A physician's referral is not required.
The surgery must be performed by an ophthalmologist. Cataract surgery is not eligible under this benefit.

The maximum applies per covered person — not per eye and not per procedure. A covered spouse carries their own separate lifetime maximum. Confirm your coverage and remaining balance with Canada Life before booking.

Extended health plans may include a vision or laser eye surgery benefit. Coverage varies widely between employers.
If your employer offers a Health Spending Account or Personal Health Spending Account, laser vision correction is typically an eligible expense you can draw against.
The Canada Revenue Agency recognizes laser eye surgery as an eligible medical expense for the non-refundable Medical Expense Tax Credit. Only amounts you were not reimbursed for can be claimed.
