About Focus Eye Centre

Focus Eye Centre is the oldest private Laser Vision Correction centre in Eastern Ontario. Founded in 1992 by Medical Director Dr. David Edmison, the surgical team at Focus has performed more than 30,000 LVC procedures, including Intralase SBK with Wavefront, as well as Wavefront PRK, standard Laser Vision Correction, and Clear Lens Exchange. Focus is headquartered in Ottawa, where it serves residents of the nation’s capital and Outaouais region. Our Kingston clinic is located in the Hotel Dieu Hospital and operates under the medical direction of Queen’s University professor and alumnus Dr. John Cheung.

Focus Eye Centre voluntarily opted to meet the exceptionally high targets set by ISO (International Organization for Standardization).

ISO is the world’s largest developer of technical standards. Based in Geneva, Switzerland, it is a non-governmental network of national standards institutes from 146 countries that works in partnership with international organizations, governments, industry, business and consumer representatives.

Simply put, ISO 9001 is about quality management. Specifically, it is based on an internationally-recognized measurement for companies that are committed to going above and beyond existing industry standards in terms of their services and products, and have made a commitment to maintaining these levels. ISO standards serve to safeguard consumers, and users in general, of products and services — as well as to make their lives simpler.

Focus Eye Centre has been ISO certified since 2002.
